Self-Defense Success in Philadelphia

Philadelphia police say a homeowner who was wounded by two armed intruders returned fire and killed one of the suspects.

Investigators were continuing to look for the second suspect early Tuesday.

Chief Inspector Scott Small says the 27-year-old homeowner was shot in the mouth and leg before he shot one of the intruders in the head about 11 p.m. Monday at the home in the city’s Frankstown section.
